Lock Replacement & Changes

Lock changes are the bread and butter of home security: after moving in, after losing keys, between tenancies, after a relationship breakdown, or simply because the lock is worn out. In most modern doors only the cylinder needs changing, which keeps costs down; older doors may need a complete mortice lock replacement.

Ask the locksmith about anti-snap cylinders and BS3621-rated locks — most insurers expect British Standard locks on final exit doors, and anti-snap cylinders defeat the most common forced-entry method used on uPVC doors.
